Manor Farm, Stretham

Update September 2015: Laragh Homes, in partnership with the Cambridge and Stretham and Wilburton Community Land Trust (CLT), are developing a new community led development at Stretham, 9 miles north of Cambridge. Manor Farm will provide 50 new homes, including 15 affordable homes that will be owned by the CLT and made available to local people for rent or part purchase.

There will be a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom properties, with 11 different styles of homes to choose from including terraces, detached homes and bungalows. Homes will be built to a high standard, as well as being energy efficient and eco-friendly. They will have generous gardens and there will be extensive areas of green open space throughout the development. Manor Farm will also provide a doctors surgery, as well as office units for small businesses and start-ups, which will in turn create jobs for local people. There will be a village green at the heart of the site, as well as footpaths, cycle routes and bridleways. There will also be a woodland walk between the rear of the properties on Meadowcroft and the new development.

The project is due to commence construction in October 2015, with the first houses available from the spring/summer of 2016.
