Laragh Homes receives unanimous planning vote to regenerate former Cambridge Squash Club site

Having remained dormant for almost six years, the unused Histon Road site is now set for transformation to a stunning development of high-quality new homes.

Leading Cambridgeshire developer, Laragh Homes, has announced that their Reserved Matters Application was approved by a unanimous vote at Cambridge City Council on 17th December for the delivery of 27 brand-new properties.

The high-quality development will provide 17 private and 10 affordable homes, all designed by award-winning architects Haysom Ward Miller, with a thoughtful mix of one, two, three and four bedroom properties located in the prime residential area; providing easy access to Cambridge city centre, Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge North Station, and the nearby A14/M11.

The approved plans allow Laragh Homes to create a unique cul-de-sac mews-style development, with design concepts that incorporate eco credentials such as electric car-charging points and rainwater harvesting, together with heat pump and solar systems.

The approved planning also includes good-sized gardens and sensitively spaced design, with many of the properties to be made available through the Help to Buy scheme (subject to terms and conditions).
