Drawing Competition Winners Announced

Enterprise Urban and Laragh Homes, joint developers of Middleton Green, Cambridge recently announced the winners of its art competition for local school children in Cambridge. The developers of Middleton Green, Milton Road, Cambridge asked budding young artists to design their dream home with a chance of winning some fantastic art prizes and a donation to their schools PTA.
On Friday 14th November the winners were announced and prizes awarded in the schools assembly. The overall winner of the 7 to 10 category was Emily Hughes Roberts, aged 8, from Milton Road Primary School. She was presented with a very impressive wooden art kit containing watercolours, acrylics and lots of other goodies. Milton Road Primary School was also given £250.00 for its PTA.
Hannah Greenhow of Laragh Homes, Hattie Bacon of Enterprise Urban and Nick Phillips of DPA Architects, who designed the Milton Road scheme, presented the prizes. The group also decided Alice Hughes Roberts, aged 5, and Emily’s younger sister, should also be given an art kit as her entry was fantastic but she wasn’t old enough to enter the main competition. Both girls’ pictures have been framed and will be hung in the show home at Middleton Green, which is due to open early next year.
Hattie Bacon from Enterprise Urban, comments: “We are thrilled that Milton Road Primary School came up with such a wonderful array of entries. Our development is very much at the heart of this community and we are delighted to have been involved in an activity with the school. We also have some brilliant art work for our show home and maybe a possible architect or interior designer on our hands with the Hughes-Roberts sisters.”
